Philip Hurd

Skola – Travel and Learn Director

Philip completed his studies at Durham and Cambridge University and came to international school management 15 years ago from an educational background in British independent school education and international EFL (English as a Foreign Language) working overseas in South America and Australia . For the last 12 years he has lead international schools in central London and has developed and designed many programmes and policies such as the celebration of diversity, internationalism, special education and environmental literacy. In addition, he believes in creating exciting educational journeys for all students and staff; journeys which challenge, stimulate and end up in places beyond expectations.

Dr Caroline Fowler

Skola - Travel and Learn Education Leader

Caroline is passionate about environmental education and considers travel as an invaluable experience for raising awareness and understanding of environmental issues around the world. She completed an undergraduate degree in Ecology, Conservation and Animal Behaviour and went on to study a PhD in Environmental Science before becoming a field Studies manager and geography teacher at ICS in 2007. Caroline has co-led trips to Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Italy and the Egypt and has seen firsthand the positive influence these trips have on students. Travel and Learn Trips are not only inspiring and offer once in a life time adventures, but also encourage independence and responsibility from students of different backgrounds and abilities.
