Volcanoes, The Caribbean And Pacific Coastal Ecosystems

Volcanic peaks, giant turtles, and the Rainforest ecosystem of Costa Rica provided a spectacular outdoor classroom. We saw an amazing variety of wildlife including the rainbow-billed toucan, macaws, parrots, sloths, monkeys, coatis and more. Costa Rica is a country rich in culture, with diverse environments, delicious cuisine, and a friendly and welcoming people.

Activities Included: white water rafting adventure (beginners level), observation of the Arenal Volcano, ropes course, boat cruise, visit a local school and learn about students day to day life, snorkelling, fishing, swimming, hot springs thermal bath, tree canopy cable ride.

Educational focus: equatorial tropical rainforest ecosystem and its huge biodiversity. The marine ecosystems of both the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean . Volcanoes and their formation, conservation of these ecosystems, the effects of global warming, river systems, astronomy… and Spanish Language!
